What to expect
At Pinehurst Animal Hospital we strive to provide the best personalized medical care for your pets.
Therefore, as new clients to us (or if you’re just bringing in a new addition), we try to obtain as much information as possible from your pet’s previous medical history. If you have records, please bring them in to your pet’s appointment or we would be happy to call any veterinary practice and have them sent prior to your visit.
Please arrive for your pet’s first appointment 10 minutes early, as we have a new client form for you to fill out. However, if you have access to a printer, feel free to click on the link above under Forms, fill out the form, print it, and bring it on in!
After our friendly front desk staff checks you in, one of our veterinary technicians will bring you and your pet into an exam room and will start by asking about your pet’s current general health condition and the reason for your visit.
The information gathered will then be reviewed by one of our doctors (along with any previous medical history).
Our veterinarian will examine your pet, ask you further questions and discuss any concerns you may have. This is a great time to ask questions - our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
After all your pet’s needs are met, our veterinarian and/or veterinary technician will provide you with helpful, doctor recommended pet care information.
If any recheck visits are needed, feel free to schedule them with our front desk staff at check out time.
Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, but given that we also provide emergency services, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays.

1. We accept debit cards, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
2. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expenses strike as well. Pinehurst Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the Care Credit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments free of interest. You can either apply via phone at (1800) 677-0718 or you can apply at our hospital, where we’ll submit your application online for immediate approval.
